Mt. Dhaulagiri lies in western part of Nepal. Mt. Dhaulagiri rises to 8167 m. above the sea level. Mr. Ernest Forrer of Switzerland scaled Mt. Dhaulagiri first time on May 13, 1960 via North East Ridge. The position of this mountain lies on: Latitude: 280 41' 46" and Longitude: 830 29' 43" First Nepali Climber: Mr. Nawang Dorje Sherpa topped the mountain on May 13, 1960. The Normal Ascent Route: North East Ridge and Caravan Route: Ktm-Pokhara-Beni-Marpha- Dhaulagiri base Camp. Till December 2007, 359 climber had been climbed Mt. Dhaulagiri.
